The fog is rolling in over the Calvi hills, bringing some cooler weather and exciting events to the Art Monastery both in Umbria and San Francisco!
Founders Christopher Fulling and Betsy McCall respectively are directing and performing in, “How to Survive the Apocalypse: A Burning Opera“. Full of frequent Art Monastery collaborators like Phoebe Jevtovic Alexander and California Artistes, the run at Teatro Zinzanni promises to be a sold out extravaganza of countercultural song and dance at San Francisco’s Teatro Zinzanni. Get your tickets October 5-7 and 12-14 ONLY!

October and November in Calvi, meanwhile, bring the following exciting workshops…
Madrigals of Monteverdi
October 24 and 25 and November 28 and 29
2 weekends examining these beautiful pieces of musical poetry, taught by Nora Tabbush, with accompaniment on authentic instruments like the lute. At just 170 euro for two full days of study and 4 delicious Umbrian meals prepared by a local chef, this is a steal!

L’Arte dell’Oliva
October 30-November 1 and November 6-8 the experience gets even better with the olive harvest weekends. A synthesis of the art of the olive, from the tree to the table, with the Art Monastery’s community, yoga, and live music, both weekends promise to inspire and nourish the spirit as well as the stomach. Check out all the information. Day passes are available!
